The site owner may eventually want to increase his download speed. This increases the ranking of search results; besides, it is more pleasant for site visitors to work with it by getting a faster response to their actions. In search of a quick and straightforward solution, site owners install a vast number of plug-ins, which in turn consume resources and only slow down its work. We do not have anything against optimization plugins, but they need to be used to the point and with knowledge of the principles of their work. Besides, site owners who have never experienced administration often … Continue reading →Visit us at InstantShift.com

I read an interesting article on Forbes recently about language saturation. Here's the problem: Consumers don't always understand the technicalities of what businesses do or the solutions they've created for them. So, copywriters use jargon that translates something like "Internet-connected devices with computing capabilities" into "smartphones", "smart watches" and "smart speakers". Some of these buzzwords spread like wildfire and it soon becomes impossible to find a brand or website that doesn't use them.

In a post to his site Tomas Votruba introduces something that can be helpful for those working with Symfony 4 and Flex to make the "zero-setup configuration" easier to work with: effective use of the Symfony Flex Loader. Symfony 4 and Flex is heading in direction of zero-setup configuration - no bundles, no extensions, no configuration. You already know how to get rid of Configuration. Flex now loads services instead of Extension class. But it has an extra price, a lot of new boilerplate code in Kernel. Today you'll learn how to keep your Kernel Flex-ready and clean at the same time. He starts with an example kernel that loads an extra directory (defined by a "custom path"). He shows how to refactor these examples to "make them small again" making use of the Flex loader package that reduces the number of lines required to accomplish the same end result.
