The StarTutorial.com site has posted the next in their "Understanding Design Patterns" series of tutorials today. In this latest post they cover the Factory design pattern. [The Factory design pattern provides] an interface for creating families of related or dependent objects without specifying their concrete classes. They use the same fictional business as in the previous articles to put the pattern in a more "real world" situation. The goal is to create several "toy factories" that can build "toy" objects based on certain requirements: either cars or helicopters. The post starts with the creation of an abstract factory class and shows the concrete implementations of one for each type of toy. These concrete classes include basic properties about the toy and functionality to build out the basics (ex: a car has four wheels, a helicopter has rotors).
When it comes to making money, some companies will do whatever it takes to get people inside their establishment. But does that kind of business tactic even work? In my opinion, if you have to lie or trick your consumers into a sale, well then, that won't obviously work! You might be able to attract a good amount of foot traffic (and even make some sales from the deceitful strategy), but let's look at the big picture.
PhotoBulk is a useful little helper for recurring image editing tasks. You can add watermarks, edit, and optimize photos. The bulk feature that lets you edit tons of images at once is more than useful. macOS is a great OS that lets you get a lot of things done. The application “photos” already provides the most important image editing functions. However, the options are very limited when it comes to certain tasks. I was looking for a program that is able to edit and crop multiple images at once. It should also include an option to change the image names. It didn’t take too long that I found the small image editor PhotoBulk, and I was pretty impressed by its features. Of course, PhotoBulk does not replace a full-fledged photo editing program like Photoshop or Affinity Photo. It’s merely a small helper for certain tasks. What PhotoBulk Can Do The tiny image editor allows you to create watermarks, as well as optimize, rename, and crop photos. Get a quick impression by watching the following video: 1 – Creating Watermarks You can add a date to your photos, implement a text, symbol, or even a script symbol. Simply drag the photos […]

Internet Curated presents topic-related collections with the best sources from the web. They feature tools, services, inspiration and more. Taking a closer look is worth it. Internet Curated: Smorgasbord in Its Infancy Internet Curated is no altruistically motivated collection of the best things on the web. One should know this in advance. There are a quite a few places where you’ll find more or less blatant advertising for the premium WordPress theme named Chipmunk. Both Internet Curated and the Chipmunk theme originate from the developer stable of Piotr Kulpinski and Jan Wennesland. This explains why there’s a newsletter on Internet Curated which is an essential aspect, and why you are asked to sign up for it. If you don’t want to be messaged via mail, just subscribe to the RSS feed, because Internet Curated is based on the advertised premium theme, and thus, it is also based on WordPress. The very obvious motivation behind the doing does not do any damage to it, however. The collections that you’ll find on Internet Curated still have value, and give you a quick insight into different topics. Since Internet Curated relies on the crowd, and actively asks for sources worth curating, there is […]
Adobe Photoshop Actions are a great feature of the app, allowing you to create a process or workflow, record how it worked, and then easily repeat the process again for other photographs or design elements. Today we’ve collected some of the best Photoshop actions out there, for photographers and graphic designers alike. They cost just […]
We are well and truly in the technical era - every man and their dog has a website, and if you have a business without some sort of online presence, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Partly thanks to this advanced technical era, consumers are getting smarter and expectations are growing. No longer is it acceptable to simply have a webpage with information and expect the consumer to do all the work. Unless you are able to personalize the content in some way, then there is a very high chance that the consumer will get bored or be … Continue reading →Visit us at InstantShift.com
