There's a website and app design trend that's so subtle you almost don't see it. Soft UI creates a frost-style or glassy blur where elements sink and extrude from the background to create varying levels of depth and dimension. Combine this effect with a softer, more pastel color palette, and the result is a light, […]
Icons are an essential part of many user interfaces, visually expressing objects, actions and ideas. When done correctly, they communicate the core idea and intent of a product or action, and they bring a lot of nice benefits to user interfaces, such as saving screen real estate and enhancing aesthetic appeal. Last but not least, most apps and websites have icons. It's a design pattern that is familiar to users. Despite these advantages, icons can cause usability problems when designers hide functionality behind icons that are hard to recognize. An icon's first job is to guide users to where they need to go, and in this article we'll see what it takes to make that possible. If you want to take a go at creating your own icons, you can download and test Adobe's Experience Design CC for free and get started right away. Introduction The creation of evolutionary applications with future-proof architectures is a challenging task. Given the number of organizations relying on modern frontend trends to develop and ship software products globally to millions of users, the need to choose an architecture that can scale and speed up development processes has become essential. More than creating a complex app with innovative features, building an app with a simple and decoupled codebase is the priority today. Why do you ask? The primary reason is that a quality application is imminent to obtain user growth. After a certain period, scaling up the app in terms of features, server capacity, and so on would be inevitable. However, due to budgetary limitations or ignorance through the attitude of "we will scale later", most organizations build apps with tightly coupled architectures where scaling becomes impossible in the future.
