Martin Hujer has put together a new post to his site sharing some of the PhpStorm plugins he considers essential for Symfony development, making your life easier as you create applications with this popular framework. I've been using PhpStorm for quite a while and I'm still surprised now and then when it suggests an auto-completion for something I thought that's not possible. But there are still many things - usually framework- or library-specific - that PhpStorm cannot do on its own. But there are plugins that can step in place and do the magic for specific framework or library. Several of the plugins are more for improving PHP development in general but others are more Symfony-specific: PHP Annotations PHP Toolbox Symfony Plugin PHPUnit Enhancement PHP composer.json support Php Inspections (EA Extended) Twig Support .env files support .ignore Each item in the list comes with a brief introduction to the plugin, links to find out more information, and, in some cases, animations of it in use in the editor.
Properties, often just called "props" are an important part of Vue, and are a key way we pass data to child components. In this guide, we'll be going over how to use props, and why we use them. The focus of this guide is Vue 3, although much of what is written is applicable to Vue 2 as well. Properties or Props in Vue One of the fundamental principles we use when building in many frontend frameworks like Vue, is that new pieces of functionality are usually built as components. For example, we may build a 'most popular' component, which looks something like this:
Every WordPress plugin developer struggles with tough problems and code that's difficult to maintain. We spend late nights supporting our users and tear out our hair when an upgrade breaks our plugin. Let me show you how to make it easier. In this article, I'll share my five years of experience developing WordPress plugins. The first plugin I wrote was a simple marketing plugin. On the Checkpoint Research blog there's a recent post covering the recent critical Drupal bug, a.k.a. Drupalgeddon 2, and providing a deeper look into the bug and how the exploit worked. Two weeks ago, a highly critical (21/25 NIST rank) vulnerability, nicknamed Drupalgeddon 2 (SA-CORE-2018-002 / CVE-2018-7600), was disclosed by the Drupal security team. This vulnerability allowed an unauthenticated attacker to perform remote code execution on default or common Drupal installations. [...] Until now details of the vulnerability were not available to the public, however, Check Point Research can now expand upon this vulnerability and reveal exactly how it works. The post covers the basic issue, a lack of input sanitization on Form API requests, and what versions it existed in. It then dives into the technical details, showing a proof of concept for the exploit and how an attacker might locate a place in the application to use it. It also looks behind the scenes at the code that handles the request and shows where the issue lies. The post ends with a look at "weaponizing" the exploit and executing whatever code you'd like on the server.
