Selenium is the most widely used software for automating UI testing, and while some maintain it is flaky and not facile at managing dependencies, the project has found its way into many development shops. Last month saw the release of Selenium 4, which Simon Stewart, former lead of the open-source Selenium project, said introduced “a … continue reading The post Selenium 4: Improved Grid, new features for testers appeared first on SD Times.
Slab serif fonts can be used for a variety of purposes, ranging from general body text to headlines, to display copy. It’s a typography variant that has been used widely for digital as well as print purposes, and devices such as Amazon Kindle even use a slab serif as their default font. In order to […]
Within the last nine years, almost every designer I used to work with expressed their frustration to me about them frequently having to spend days giving feedback to developers to correct spacings, font sizes, visual as well as layout aspects that had simply not been implemented correctly. This often lead to weakening the trust between designers and developers, and caused unmotivated designers along with a bad atmosphere among the two disciplines.
An experienced interviewer takes care of many things: builds hypotheses, selects interviewees, composes invitations, schedules appointments, sets the stage, and, of course, writes an interview script. Any of these preparations can go wrong, but the script failure means all the effort is in vain. So, if you haven't interviewed people a lot before or you have to delegate it to non-designers, I'd recommend paying attention to high-quality questions, in the first place.
When we create a file or folder on a Unix-based system like Linux or MacOS, it has a set of permissions and access modes. These are most often manipulated using the chmod command, which allow us to change who can access and run different files. Let's look at how chmod works. You can argue that this technique is only just achieving mainstream success. However, there's no question that omnichannel strategies … Continue reading →Visit us at InstantShift.com
Handling digital media assets such as audio and video in your application can be tricky because of the considerations that have to be made server-side (e.g. networking, storage and the asynchronous nature of handling file uploads). However, we can use libraries like Multer and Express.js to simplify our workflow on the backend while using Nuxt.js (Vue framework) to build out the front-end interactions. Whenever a web client uploads a file to a server, it is generally submitted through a form and encoded as multipart/form-data.
